The Class of 2007 of the Department of Public Relations, Stella Maris College participated at the function held by the PR-Public Sector Forum by the Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation and Indian Overseas Bank. Mr. V. Irai Anbu, Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department and Mr. Rajaram IAS, Commissioner of Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation presided the occasion.
A small introduction about the campaign and the significance of the logos used was given at the beginning of the presentation. A detailed presentation followed the introduction which explained about the importance of have a healthy heart. As the target audience consisted of mostly people working in the corporate sector, more importance was given to factors like stress management, balancing work life and professional life, healthy eating habits and the advantages of physical exercise.
A poem on heart written in tamil was read out to the gathering. Following the tamil poem was an English poem on heart which was read out to the audience. Once the presentation was over the audience was asked to fill in a questionnaire which included questions on knowledge, attitude and practice to evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign. Pamphlets were distributed to the audience present at the occasion. Mementos were also distributed to the different corporate companies that were present.
